Almost approximately 5 days occurring demo in everywhere which to refuse the increase in fuel prices. Finally the Government take a stand after holding a meeting full of controversy.
The result of the meeting was that Government announced two options, i.e.
a.       There is no change in the STATE BUDGET BILL-P 2012 article 7 paragraph 6 that the contents do not allow the Government to raise fuel prices.
b.      Receive additional article 7 paragraph 6a whose contents are would allow the administration to alter the fuel oil price if the crude oil price ( indonesia ) suffered indonesian crude price / increase or decrease in an average of 15 % in the last six months
From the results of these meetings can be conclude for a while fuel prices are still at a price of Rp 6,500. If the Government wants to raise fuel prices to see the price of crude oil (Indonesia Crude Price/ICP) who were at the level of US $ 105 per barrel or up from the previous assumption of US $ 90 per barrel.
LET’S CALCULATE THE FLUCTUATION OF FUEL’S PRICE . . . .
The Assumption
According to the Ministry of MINERAL RESOURCES, the average value of the ICP for 6 months back is US$ 116,49 per barrel.
Month                                                  Price/barrel
ICP Oktober 2011                               US$109,25
ICP November 2011                           US$ 112,94
ICP Desember 2011                            US$ 110,70
ICP January 2012                                US$ 115,90
ICP February 2012                              US$ 122,17
ICP Maret 2012                                   US$ 128
Views of that data then fetched an average price increase of oil are on the level with that assumption 10,94% can be inferred that for April 1, 2012 the Government cannot raise fuel prices because they are still under 15%. Whatever the decisions may not burdensome to small communities.
